![]() So basically, the sky is the limit when it comes to automation using Harmony, and all I have to do is ask Alexa to do so. My activity to stream music from my plex server through Amazon firestick is even more complex. Example would be - turn on receiver, go to a specific input channel, turn on tv, go to specific output channel, turn on DirecTV, wait for 5 seconds, go to channel 300, click the down button twice, show list of saved programs, turn off the light on my sideboard, turn off floor standing lamp. You can create some very complex activities involving multiple devices. Only way turning on TV1 will do anything to TV2 is if you ask it to do so. When you create your activities for Harmony, you specify the devices that activity would use and what they perform. On the other hand Harmony works great with ST and integrated with Alexa I can voice control everything in my entertainment center and more. I found RM Mini 3 lacking in device support. I have tried Broadlink before buying Harmony. They list Aeotec, Ecolink, Iris and numerous others, but couldn’t find the SmartThings multisensors. Just out of curiosity, I looked for sensors. It supports “more than 60,000 devices”,* and supposedly does have native true automation (such as “If motion from living room sensor between 1am and 8am, turn on the light”). Since it supports IR, WiFi, Bluetooth and ZWave, the only limitation to it hypothetically being able to replace SmartThings altogether is ZigBee (which is supposedly in progress). It’s both a tv remote and a hardware version of ActionTiles. Supposedly, at least with some setup, it can not only allow SmartThings to control basic tv functions, but it can control SmartThings. ![]() I have no experience with it, but it’s a Harmony on steroids. One option on the market, though very not cheap, is NEEO. (I have NOT researched their purported features, including SmartThings capable). Just doing a search: Sevenhugs, SmartEgg, iRBeacon, BEAK, Bearbot, etc. There are multiple crowd funded projects at various stages. I think this is an area that is going to soon explode in options. Would it be possible that I would be able to control both TVs on off function using the flic and it not affect the other TV because the flic is only programmed to the device I set it to not all? My intentions with the flic purchase was being able to control on all functions and not have it affected by activities based on the Hub, music and said lights. It says that they are compatible with Harmony hubs. I know this is kind of off the topic but I’m looking at purchasing the Bluetooth flic buttons. It never dawned on me that I might possibly need more than one Harmony Hub. In all honesty all I’m actually looking for is on-off functions with volume control being a plus. ![]() I mean if it could control my cable box and change my channel that’d be cool but I always watch On Demand because I’m never home to watch episodes when they air so I highly doubt that’s a possibility. I already ordered the Harmony Hub because I found it on sale for $60 when everywhere else was $80 or more. I will have to go inside the settings and see if there is an option for that. I know that when I unplug the TV and plug it back in it does not turn itself back on.
